Gears of War Kinect Rumor?

Microsoft has shown promise in the vain of getting Hardcore franchises adapted to the Kinect device with games announced like Steel Battalion, Star Wars, Child of Eden & the newly Rumored Gears of War. According to sources claiming to be familiar with the project, the rumored Gears of War Kinect project is indeed real.

Black Ops Ascension Strategy

Ascension is the new Zombie map that came out for Call of Duty: Black Ops in the First Strike Map Pack. A lot of people I know who bought this game are not planning on playing this map. If you bought it(for $15 no less) you should at least give it a few plays. Maybe after reading this article you will see how in depth this map really is and also how fun it can be not worrying about some dude camping and working with a few friends against the living dead. I am going to go through some of the new stuff in this map as well as tips, tricks and my own strategy. I may forget a few things, and If I do then I am sorry. I will try to cover as much as I can. See the rest after the jump.

Defy Gravity on Xbox Live

You may or may not have read my review on the indie game Defy Gravity. If you have then awesome. If you haven’t then check it out here. The reason why I bring this back up is this fun game is now on Xbox live. Its under the indie games for 80 points. Thats only $1. That is a great deal for this game. I highly recommend you search this on your xbox or go on the xbox market online here for it. Great little game for only $1. If your still not sure then try the free trial game of it then.

Black Ops:First Strike costs $53.6 Million?

Call of Duty: Black Ops has sold amazingly well. There is no surprise that the First Strike Map Pack will sell pretty well. With any and all major DLC there are problems. I have found a few and decided to share before it is fixed. The first picture below shows the map pack download costing -1 Microsoft point. Well just out of curiosity I decided to see if it would work or not. The next picture shows it the required balance being 42,93,967,295 which comes out to be $53,687,091.19. This of course is going to get fixed and no one will end up buying it for that price, but I feel it is a worth wild to share to those who probably will not see it before it gets fixed. I apologize for the picture quality not being crystal clear, but I’m sure you can make out what it says. And before I post I have checked it again and the problem is fixed so you don’t have to worry. Just enjoy the mistake of Microsoft that is below.

Gears of War: Exile

Epic Games apparently has another Gears of War in development. This past week they filed a trademark for the name Gears of War: Exile. The trademark applications (via Siliconera) include an image of a proposed logo (above). The trademark was filed for use with t-shirts, a series of computer game hint books and instruction manuals, and video game software. In other words, we’re talking about a game and not simply a novel or comic book.

US Deal of the Day

I struggled last week to find any deals that I felt were suitable for this post. Thanks again to Henry Knox I am instead writing this post with several (hopefully) great deals.

Defy Gravity Game Review

I want to first state that the lead developer for Fish Factory Games, based in New Orleans, contacted me and Provided me with a review copy of the game. With that said I will give my full and honest opinion about this game in this review. There are some good and some bad. And now I present my review.

The game is priced at $4.99. You get 16 levels and when you beat those levels you unlock hard mode that takes away certain features away from the original mode.

The game feels like a cross between Braid, Mega Man, and Portal. The game is very addicting. I found myself playing just one more level until I finished the original mode and then halfway done with hard mode.
