Episode 90- The Real Episode 90

Last week’s episode was accidentally labeled episode 90 when it was 89. The problem has been fixed. This week we are joined by Faitios and are missing Harold. We discuss what we have been doing as well as a couple of topics. We discuss our Geek Question of the Week as well as a few other topics. We originally planned to talk about The Avengers this episode but we talked about it so long that it will be put out as a separate episode very soon. Look for it soon.

Excellent Customer Support

In todays world it seems that companies have been very lacking in Customer Support. Many companies have outsourced their Customer Support overseas. I have nothing against other countries, but its very frustrating when you have a problem and the communication between you and the Customer Support Representative can’t understand each other. Well Luckily for you Geeks out there because there are some companies that have great customer service that might surprise you!

The Age of Dragons Have Indeed Begun

"You will die for what you did to Mother"

Dragon Age 2 took what was good about the first one and threw it away and made some things much better but a so took some of the mundane out. For instance, the new leveling up system is way faster and easier to use. If you like getting into numbers and theorycrafting that is still there, while letting to people who don’t, like it just the same. One of the biggest things missing was a deeper backstory for all the companions. In Origins there was the camp that the player visited after every mission where he/she could learn almost the entire life’s story of the companions, sadly this was lacking in Dragon Age 2. There were the occasional side missions that lead into dialog with the companions but not as much as some would have liked. The gift giving system was almost completely removed. Only one gift could be given to a companion and that certain gift was sometimes really hard to find, if found at all.

Defy Gravity on Xbox Live

You may or may not have read my review on the indie game Defy Gravity. If you have then awesome. If you haven’t then check it out here. The reason why I bring this back up is this fun game is now on Xbox live. Its under the indie games for 80 points. Thats only $1. That is a great deal for this game. I highly recommend you search this on your xbox or go on the xbox market online here for it. Great little game for only $1. If your still not sure then try the free trial game of it then.

Gears of War: Exile

Epic Games apparently has another Gears of War in development. This past week they filed a trademark for the name Gears of War: Exile. The trademark applications (via Siliconera) include an image of a proposed logo (above). The trademark was filed for use with t-shirts, a series of computer game hint books and instruction manuals, and video game software. In other words, we’re talking about a game and not simply a novel or comic book.

Halo Reach: Noble Map pack Review

Even though the Halo Reach popularity has had a slight drop off, the first map pack for Halo Reach has given the Halo community a shot in the arm well needed. Apologies for the late review I had planned on just giving impressions, but I found myself  loving them and sinking more time into these maps than I anticipated. I also wanted to play multiple sessions, with multiple game-types to really test the balance of game play for each map, so with out further adieu here’s the review.

Delightful Downloadable Deals

Like many other gamers and geek aficionados I’ve had the “wait & see” mentality concerning buying DLC, games, and movies this year. It seems as though everything gets replaced, sequalized, or clearance so quickly there is no need or advantage to purchase early (unless you have a special interest in something, like Mass Effect lol). Well due to Thanksgiving weekend once again Microsoft and Sony are slashing the pricing on a lot of there digital content which will all be offered good through November 29th.
