Brink: Free DLC and updates on the way

Splash Damage is planning to give their multiplayer shooter Brink a face-lift this summer. They’ve got free DLC and title updates planned for the coming weeks.

“Agents of Change”, the game’s first DLC, will be free for two weeks through Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam. If you download the content during that time period, you’ll be able to play it forever for no charge. However, after those two weeks have elapsed, you’ll need to shell out money for the DLC. The price wasn’t disclosed.

Sony and Microsoft have yet to sign off on “Agents of Change” but Splash Damage expects it to be released in early July. “Agents” adds two new environments, two outfits, five player abilities, and two weapon attachments. Here’s a run-down on the new content:

Recently this rumored promo flier was leaked on the Internet. It is for none other then Call of Duty Black Ops. This is the 3rd map pack that is rumored to be named ANNIHILATION. Halo reach: Defiant Map Pack coming in March

Its been a long while since we’ve heard about the updates regarding the Halo Reach franchise. The last DLC for this sequel which was the Noble Map pack was certainly exciting on some extent but we all know in the gaming world, players have this trait of getting bored too easily and you can count me in for that!

Coming from the gamingsphere, this new leak was unearthed and it appears the next map pack will be called as “Defiant”. According to this French-based website, this Defiant Map pack would be the latest DLC for Halo Reach and it would contain three new battlefields namely: Condemned, Unearthed and Highlands.

Gears of War: Exile

Epic Games apparently has another Gears of War in development. This past week they filed a trademark for the name Gears of War: Exile. The trademark applications (via Siliconera) include an image of a proposed logo (above). The trademark was filed for use with t-shirts, a series of computer game hint books and instruction manuals, and video game software. In other words, we’re talking about a game and not simply a novel or comic book.

Halo Reach: Noble Map pack Review

Even though the Halo Reach popularity has had a slight drop off, the first map pack for Halo Reach has given the Halo community a shot in the arm well needed. Apologies for the late review I had planned on just giving impressions, but I found myself  loving them and sinking more time into these maps than I anticipated. I also wanted to play multiple sessions, with multiple game-types to really test the balance of game play for each map, so with out further adieu here’s the review.

Delightful Downloadable Deals

Like many other gamers and geek aficionados I’ve had the “wait & see” mentality concerning buying DLC, games, and movies this year. It seems as though everything gets replaced, sequalized, or clearance so quickly there is no need or advantage to purchase early (unless you have a special interest in something, like Mass Effect lol). Well due to Thanksgiving weekend once again Microsoft and Sony are slashing the pricing on a lot of there digital content which will all be offered good through November 29th.

Mass Effect 2: PS3 details, so far…

Back when Mass effect 2 was first announced for the PS3 I was overjoyed that all of the Playstation fan-boys would finally be able to experience this incredible space action-drama, and stop bashing it because they didn’t have it.
