Nintendo gives in Drops Price of 3DS

As reported by istockanalyst.com — Nintendo of America today announced plans to drop the suggested retail price of its portable Nintendo 3DS^â„¢ system to $169.99 in the United States, as new games based on some of the worldâ€™s most beloved video game franchises head to the system. The new price, down from the suggested launch price of $249.99 and effective Aug. 12, makes an outstanding value even better and sets up a strong holiday season for the system.

Brink: Free DLC and updates on the way

Splash Damage is planning to give their multiplayer shooter Brink a face-lift this summer. They’ve got free DLC and title updates planned for the coming weeks.

“Agents of Change”, the game’s first DLC, will be free for two weeks through Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam. If you download the content during that time period, you’ll be able to play it forever for no charge. However, after those two weeks have elapsed, you’ll need to shell out money for the DLC. The price wasn’t disclosed.

Sony and Microsoft have yet to sign off on “Agents of Change” but Splash Damage expects it to be released in early July. “Agents” adds two new environments, two outfits, five player abilities, and two weapon attachments. Here’s a run-down on the new content:

2K Games and Top Cow Productions have teamed up to produce a free comic book tie-in for The Darkness II. The Darkness II: Confession will be distributed to indie comic book stores worldwide on May 7th, Free Comic Book Day.

Confession is a 32-page comic that serves as a prequel to The Darkness II. It introduces players to Jackie Estacado, a hitman that wields a supernatural force known as The Darkness. The comic chronicles the events of the first game and then sets up the sequel.Â Free Comic Book Day is an annual event in which select comic book shops around the world give away comic books to customers for no charge. This is the tenth year of the event, which is held on the first Saturday of every May. Top Cow is a Silver Sponsor of Free Comic Book Day 2011.
